Rebecca Cafarelli

Rebecca "Reba" Cafarelli, director of production and education for the University of Chicago Presents, coordinates concert production for both UCP and Contempo performances and oversees audience services. She also works closely with The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra to administer the CONNECT (Chamber Orchestra Neighborhood Network of Education, Curriculum, and Teachers) program, part of their residence at the University of Chicago.  

Reba received a bachelor of music degree and a performer's certificate in bassoon performance from the Eastman School of Music in 2002. She continued her musical studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she earned a master of music degree in 2004. Levy was the bassoon fellowship recipient at the Aspen Music Festival and School from 2001-03, and worked with the AMFS staff as artist liaison in the summer of 2004. She also performed with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago during its 2004-05 season, joined the staff of the Grant Park Music Festival in 2005, and served as operations and education manager for the Elgin Symphony Orchestra prior to her appointment at the University of Chicago Presents in 2007.
