Kennon Brown

Kennon Brown joined the University of Chicago Presents as Director of Communications in August 2009.  She oversees press, marketing, web and social media efforts for classical, contemporary and jazz music series and consults on other arts and culture related efforts at the University.

Brown was previously a Media Relations Manager for the City of Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs, promoting major citywide music festivals, public art, and grant programs.  She has also worked in both the Media and Marketing departments at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago and has interned at PBS in New York and Chicago.  She is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History.
