University of Chicago students serve as ushers at all UCP concerts. Not only do the ushers hear a free concert, but they also become a part of the UCP team, learning the business of arts productions first hand. Many ushers come back year after year, attesting to the value and fun of the experience. Students who usher at a certain number of concerts are also eligible for a service-bonus at the end of the season - often a field trip to another cultural event in the city or a dinner with fellow ushers.
